Rose Hohenberger is an award-winning studio and
plein air painter who welcomes the challenge of new vistas.
As a member of Alla Prima International, she relishes the adventure
of traveling and painting alongside other seasoned landscape
artists.
In her Houston studio, Rose's work expands to
include figurative paintings and animal life. Here, too, is an
obligation, she believes, to infuse plein air spontaneity to
the effort. To that end, the studies done on location serve as color
and design references.
Rose's paintings have been included five times
in the prestigious Arts for the Parks top 100 and 200, as well as
Oil Painters of America national and regional shows. Along with
one-person and group exhibitions, her work has been displayed in
numerous galleries and art centers and is included in corporate and
private collections throughout the country.
In addition to Alla Prima International, Rose
is a member of the Outdoor Painters Society, Oil Painters of
America, Women in the Visual and Literary Arts, and Houston Civic
Arts Association.
